Purchsed this 2 weeks ago to upgrade from a 10 year old 1080 projector. To say the difference is astonishing is an understatement. Yes, its not "true" 4K, but go damn you wouldnt be able to tell.

I got this two weeks ago ($1199 - $200 coupon = $999 before tax) and it works perfectly. It's very bright and easy to use during the daytime. Since it's a DLP projector (not 3LCD), I'm happy to report there is no annoying rainbow effect, though I did notice that pure white text on a very dark background doesn't look 100% pure white. Still, I really love the ability to shift the sensor to avoid having to electronically correct the output as much as possible. Also, the Google TV system is very responsive, so a dedicated external streaming device isn't required anymore.
