man, 1250w is too much, even for a high end pc with all the best components.
5080 and 5070 TI 16GB in the same machine I pushed 997w on the meter. 1200 is not too much for a high end pc. I didn't even have a 5090 in the mix yet. Although with 5090 I would use 1500w if i paired it with 5080 but i never tried it since I don't have the PSU
I have the same PSU got it off Newegg in April when they had a deal on it for $169.99 bought it without hesitating. This is an 'A Tier' on the SPL's PSU list, really nice and compact power supply. Even if you don't need the 1250W psu now, maybe in a few years gpu's will run even higher TDP's and you'll be set, this a super good deal for a solid PSU. (I have a 13700K/PNY 5080), after overclock and all, probably pulls 600-700 from the wall max in demanding games.

Absolutely not. An overclocked 5090 can pull up to 900 watts. Top end CPUs can pull 300+ watts. Add in motherboard, fans, etc, and you will exceed 1250 watts.
That said, if you're buying a highly overclocked 5090, you can afford a much more expensive PSU than this one.

5090 PCs usually come with 1200W also.
