Great price for an awesome watch for those on a budget. Most people don't need wifi syncing anyways, but Sapphire glass would be nice.

Battery life on this thing is unbelievable. I have the sapphire/WIFI version and using a watchface that I developed (professional SW engineer) I can get 64 to 68 days on a charge (with no GPS activities recorded) with biometric monitoring on for steps and pulse and sleep monitoring. That's with practically zero solar exposure. The bulk of your battery burn comes from tracking a workout with GPS on. A typical 5 mile run for me uses up about 2 to 3% battery.

I would never buy one of these without a sapphire crystal. My wife didn't think she'd need it on hers and hers is scratched like crazy, the proprietary non-sapphire glass this use is very prone to scratches. Mine is sapphire and the screen is flawless. And while she takes care of her watch, I do not baby mine at all.

Fwiw.

These things are so massive that they look cartoonish.

They do sell tempered glass screen protectors for these that are cheap and undetectable. I use one on my sapphire watch just for extra protection. A 3 pack is about 8 bucks on the jungle website.

One important detail is whether these are offered new with manufacturer warranty or not. Still waiting on seller's response on whether or not they are an authorized dealer...

This price seems amazing. I've been keeping my eye on these watches for the GPS maps while out hiking, but I don't know how you connect to one of these, particularly without wireless. So this uses the Bluetooth on your phone I assume? One more noob question: I read that it pretty much has to be an Android phone - any truth to that?

The order is fulfilled by Garmin. It says it in the listing. They also have the manufacturer warranty. You have nothing to worry about.

Doh! I missed that. Also states, "No returns accepted."

Yeah, got a pack of the best reviewed ones of those on amazon. They didn't last kissin' time. Brittle, cheap, and flimsy. One even cracked when my wife grabbed something out of the oven.

Go sapphire or go home for me.

I've not had that problem. I had a Garmin Forerunner 955 before this watch and I only ever broke 1 screenprotector on that by banging my wrist into a doorknob while swinging my arm as I walked by it. Screen was fun, but the protector shattered.

I've yet to break any protectors on my Fenix 7x Pro Sapphire. It's actually pretty tough to break them on this watch because the bezel extends out and protects the screen from most impacts, so the protector nestles into that dip and still sits slightly below the titanium bezel.

A friend of mine sent me this earlier and I looked into it and it is a legit site. It's kind of weird. You just have to be some kind of a professional or in the military. There's all different kinds of categories of what to choose from, but it looks like they have some really good deals on there. If you're a spouse to a nurse or someone in the military or a teacher or a sports fanatic or an influencer, there's lots of different ways you can get in there, but you do have to create an account and show some kind of proof for something, but it is a legit site

Anyone with experience comment on how this Garmin compares to the AMAZFIT T-REX 3 PRO 48MM? I've been eyeing the Amazfit as it has a few more bells and whistles and excellent battery life.

Thoughts appreciated.
