Viper V3 Pro SE is in the same listing for $80. Difference is 1k vs 8k polling. 8k polling is in an awkward spot because many PC's aren't strong enough for it and many games don't support past 1k/2k polling.

Optical switches sound nice, but are they still using the same scroll wheel that always fails after a year?

I have two Razer mice with failed scroll wheels. Google will show you hundreds more.

V3 scroll wheel is better than previous generations but it's still the part that's more likely to fail. Viper V4 Pro and Deathadder V4 Pro have optical scroll wheels which should solve this issues. But V4's are quite a bit more expensive ($140+)

I thought this was gonna be the bed all be all mouse but mine started acting up with the side buttons after some software updates and I just can't get them to execute my programmed commands
