Good deal if you want an affordable dual burner stove with average heat output, but I still prefer my Camp Chef Everest as it puts out roughly double the BTUs as this making it a lot faster at boiling water and cooking anything, and I like its design better because the wind baffles have a much better design to stop most wind from the sides and it feels better constructed and more solidly built. The wind baffles on this let quite a bit of wind under them, so that in conjunction with 1/2 the BTU output means this will take over twice as long to heat up anything when there's at least a slight breeze which there almost always is outdoors.

Good deal if you want an affordable dual burner stove with average heat output, but I still prefer my Camp Chef Everest as it puts out roughly double the BTUs as this making it a lot faster at boiling water and cooking anything, and I like its design better because the wind baffles have a much better design to stop most wind from the sides and it feels better constructed and more solidly built. The wind baffles on this let quite a bit of wind under them, so that in conjunction with 1/2 the BTU output means this will take over twice as long to heat up anything when there's at least a slight breeze which there almost always is outdoors.

The Camp Chef Everest was in my shopping cart when this alert popped up. My main goal is to boil water efficiently in windy conditions, so I appreciate the helpful tip. Thanks!

Yeah the Everest is great but that's another price category for sure. I got one onsale but still cost more than the classic two burner Coleman. Everest is great but burns through gas faster and is heavier so the Coleman is good for heating camping food, Everest is like a gas stove at home. I love the Everest for power outages but I car camped for years with the Coleman and it's solid for a couple people with simple needs. The little propane tanks last longer and it's a good bit smaller and lighter. Then if that's still too big you can look at backpacking stoves. If you go with an Everest consider using larger propane tanks than just the little green ones.

If this is your main goal then a Jetboil or fire-maple is what you want. Much faster than this and purposely designed for boiling water.

We always have our 2 burner stove AND a jet boil out on the table because often you just want hot water for tea/coffee.
