Dr Pepper Creamy Coconut is a polarizing soda built around a strong coconut note, with some comparing it to Malibu rum or a sweet Dr Pepper and coconut mix. The flavor can work as a mixer with whiskey or alcohol, and the zero sugar version is also available at the same deal price. The main drawback is that the coconut comes across as fake or like tanning lotion or suntan oil, and a few cans arrived dented, expanded, or leaking. It is also very sugary, with 39 grams of added sugar per can.

Common Questions (5)

  • Many describe the coconut flavor as very close to tanning lotion or suntan oil, with a sweet, carbonated finish. A few compare it to cheap rum or Malibu rum instead, so the coconut note is the main driver of the flavor.

  • It is a polarizing flavor: some call it their best Dr Pepper flavor or simply good, while others say it is disgusting and would never buy it again. If you like coconut soda, it may be worth trying, but it is not a safe blind buy.

  • Yes, it can work as a mixer with alcohol, especially whiskey, and one comment says it becomes only barely more palatable that way. Another suggestion is adding vanilla or a packet of True Lime to improve the flavor.

  • Yes, the Zero/Diet version is also offered at the same 24-for-$10 pricing, but the discount may not apply in every cart. The full-sugar version is the one that consistently shows the deal.

  • Yes. One can has 39g of added sugar, which is about 10 teaspoons.

I tried the zero sugar version and I really liked it. Tastes really good with a packet of True Lime in it too.

I Love coconut. I really like Dr. Pepper. I thought this sounded great and that I would love the combo and bought the last time it was posted. I was not a fan. Drinking my last can today and will never buy again.

I do think it's something you have to try yourself. You're either gonna love it or hate it. I don't think there's a middle ground on it.

This is a hit or miss flavor. I found a bottle during vacation to give it a try and I thought it was good, so I guess this deal is for me.

Discount only applies to the full sugar version, Dr Pepper Zero doesn't work for me. Sad, it is my favorite flavor.

the two I ordered arrived in a giant poly bag and were leaking all over my porch. They of course refunded them, I hope the delivery guy didn't have huge mess.

$10 for 24 delivered? Guess I'm in. Hopefully they are good.
Not sure why I got downvoted for this, but you do you stranger that was not a fan of me participating in this deal.

Cans arrived today. One set very dented/expanded and the other fine. Suntan lotion is spot on for flavor. Sweet, carbonated suntan lotion.

I'd imagine this is what drinking tanning lotion tastes like.
I love Dr. Pepper - but you are correct this is soooo horrible! It's like as posted, tastes like drinking suntan oil! Just say "NO"!
