I got it last summer clearance. It's a solidly made umbrella. Not going to find a better one at this price. Most cheap ones have a flimsy base and this one is solid. Had trouble with the light but frankly I don't really keep the umbrella open at night so it doesn't bother me

This cantilever patio umbrella stands out for solid build quality and long-term durability, with multiple reports of it holding up for years and surviving winters when covered. The solar LED lights are a weak point, though, since the output is very dim and some units needed troubleshooting or would not turn on at first. The canopy is mainly suited to sun, not rain, and the setup can be heavy because the base needs a lot of sand and water. A replacement canopy is available, which helps extend its life.

When the umbrella canopy part eventually disintegrates is there a way to replace it or do you have to toss the whole thing? Never had a cantilever umbrella before so not sure if it's a one and done type of thing or could you upgrade the canopy to a better one, while keeping the base and pole?
Yes you can replace it. Home Depot also sells the replacement canopy, it's cheaper so you do save some money: https://www.homedepot.com/p/11-ft.../322703939

Just bought this for $399 on the 4th of July. It's not the best and the umbrella canopy came cheaply made and alreafy frayed.. I would be a lot happier if I paid $199 lol.

This is my second. The first one is still going strong. However, requires 260 lbs of sand plus water. The Home Depot app had me get one bag. That's at least 5 bags of sand. This is the hardest part. Pour 50lbs of sand into the two inch hole. Order the sand when you get the umbrella for free delivery.

Do you keep this outside all year or are you suppose to put it away in the winter?

I just bought this last week and it arrived quickly. If you have access to AAFES (Military), log in and order it via the Home Depot link and save another $20 and no tax.
Assembly was easy but filling the 4 base sections with 5-50lb bags of sand and water took time and cost me another $30. Looks great.

All year. But buy a cover for the winter. Amazon has several options at reasonable prices.

Thinking about the beige, but concerned that since it's lighter it'll look or get dirty faster. Anyone have experience with lighter colors, good or bad?
I guess a bonus is that it'll attract less heat?

How much play sand do you need? It says 265#? I used to buy play sand in the past, but I just looked it up on Walmart and 50# is $35. Must be cheaper options? Home Depot has 50# for $7.52, so that's more reasonable, but still adds another $40+ to the cost.

I have a 10' umbrella where I filled the base with water and then put one screw on one of the legs to attach to the wood deck. It has stayed up well through some crazy winds so far. I think the weight of water filled base is around 100 lbs.
