Once a person learns all the finer points of cooking with cast iron cookware and gains the experience, they will hands down pick the bare cast iron Lodge over this enameled skillet even if their price was identical.
Been cooking on Griswolds, Lodge, Wapak, and several other 'pure' cast iron for over 50 yrs and wouldn't trade it for anything else.

Unless someone has too much iron in their blood then they can't, which happened to a friend who had to switch to enameled to continue to use cast iron.

These I believe are milled with a smooth interior. Some call it the newer boutique cookware like Smithey, Starcaster, Finex, etc. so you pay more for that extra milling processing.
