This HDMI cable Amazon Basics is functionally great but honestly you should get the equally good Chinese brand simply because the actually have 4k or 8k listed on their cables. It will save a headache years later when you have to figure out which cable is compliant with the newest tv/pc/device you buy

I just don't buy any cable that's not certified 48Gbps these days.

I recommend keeping (2) 3' and (2) 12" cables handy to tidy up sloppy hdmi spider webs.

HDMI cables are clearly rated high speed vs ultra high speed. And there's a difference in price between the two. Just buy what you need. Most of my devices don't need ultra high speed, and I prefer shorter cables

Agreed. Got myself a few 8K cables when an Amazon deal was posted last year from a Chinese brand called "Thandable." Also, throughout the years ever since 2024, I've been slowly accumulating a slew of 8K cables from brands such as Monoprice and UGreen whenever a deal shown up where they went on discount.
