I just did it 7/8. Try looking for a tool that is not available at the store where you'll pick up the batteries. Or ship the batteries to a store that doesn't have them in stock and pick up the tool at any other store.

Not the full stand-alone price. If the batteries and tool normally cost $179, $80 dollars is deducted from both items to make the bundle cost $99. The deduction isn't distributed evenly (not $40 off both items).

General rule of thumb: buy the most expensive free tool to return to get the batteries the cheapest. Back when they had the two pack of 4.0 I got the 149 chainsaw and paid 33.50 or something for 2x4.0. was about 100 bucks for 6x 4.0 batteries
