Wow killer deal if you're down for the glass carafe. Coffee snobs generally look down on glass carafe with heater for cooking the coffee but it's an opinion.

I have the last gen one with the stainless insulated carafe and it makes effortless great hot coffee. I think it's worth the splurge.

I've had mine with the thermal carafe for over 10 years now I think. I'm still using it as of this morning. I know they made a new upgrade version of it because I already seen one at my local HomeGoods, but this is the best drip coffee maker around(yes I'm biased)

I'm not a coffee snob and only use french press, moka pot and basic espresso machine for my coffee needs. I'm genuinely curious what makes this one worth $180? Never heard a drip coffee being this expensive. I'm obviously under informed and would love to hear from people who got this over espresso machine at this price? I thought there are so many options to making a good drip coffee. What this machine does that improves drip coffee taste relatively and is worth the price?
