This LISEN car charger stands out for built in retractable cables that help cut clutter while still charging quickly, especially through the USB C cord. The listed output includes PD 45W on the retractable USB C cable, plus USB C and USB A ports for extra flexibility. The retractable cords have held up well for some setups, including older model cars, and multiple units are still working great. The main caveats are occasional cable failures, a few reports of the cords not retracting, and one upside down voltage meter note. A tidy option if you want a compact in car charging setup.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, the built-in retractable cables make it an easy way to declutter a charging setup and keep cords out of the way. It has also been reported to work well in an older model car.
Some units have failed after light use, including a USB-C cable going dead after about two months, and others have triggered random "liquid detected" warnings on the phone. At the same time, multiple units have also been reported working fine long term.
The retractable cords can work as designed, but there are reports of units where the cords did not retract and had to be returned. It is also worth checking the cable mechanism soon after purchase so any defect shows up within the return window.
The USB-C retractable cable can charge fast, and the charger is described as well worth it for that use. The PD 45W USB-C spec also supports higher-speed charging for compatible devices.
It includes a PD 45W retractable USB-C cable, a 12W retractable Lightning cable for older iPhones, a 15W QC USB-C port, and a 12W QC USB-A port. That gives you both built-in cables and extra ports for charging multiple devices at once.
