VA panel, but looks like a good deal if you're OK with that.

Anyone know how it compares to this monitor from Costco? Got it on sale for the same price but still within the return period.

Almost every ultrawide curved panel is VA and for several good reasons.

Short answer: They're pretty similar. If it were me, I'd keep the LG.

Long answer: I find https://www.displayspecifications.com helpful for comparing monitors. Here is a comparison of the 2 monitors: https://www.displayspecifications...edee355f4f

Care to explain those reasons?

Yeah; curved VA panels are easier and cheaper to manufacture, and they have good contrast.

3-4x better contrast than IPS. Much better blacks. Usual viewing angle problems with VA panels are eliminated by the curve. No IPS glow problems on the edges. Cheaper.

I have two 27 inch G5s mounted side by side. They are great for office use. I had originally bought Acer screens with supposedly better specs and the G5 was surprisingly MUCH better. Can't speak to how'd they be for gaming.
