This Skytech Shadow 5 is a 1080p gaming prebuilt built around an AMD 7 9700X and RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, with the listed target being smooth 60 plus FPS at high or ultra settings. The parts list includes 1TB NVMe storage, 16GB DDR5 6000 memory, and an I O panel with two USB ports and one Type C port. The main knocks are the price, the Wi Fi 5 level connectivity, and the feeling that the included motherboard adds little value. Long term reliability gets some support from older Skytech systems still running well, though warranty timing concerns are also raised.
Households with a wired connection available, because Ethernet avoids the Wi‑Fi limitations and makes the included wireless features less important.
Homes that depend on wireless gaming across many connected devices, because the included Wi‑Fi 5 can feel slow and less reliable than newer wireless standards.
Several comments peg the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB alone at about $530 and note that the motherboard is effectively a low-cost part in the total. That makes the $1499.99 asking price feel high compared with recent Skytech builds and 2025 part pricing.
It appears to ship with Wi‑Fi 5, not Wi‑Fi 7. That matters if you need lower latency or better reliability on a crowded network, especially when Ethernet is not an option.
Some systems have reportedly run well for 6+ years, including one that stayed solid after a GPU swap and another recent prebuilt still running well. A separate concern is that some reviewers say units failed just after the 1-year warranty period, so checking the machine thoroughly on arrival is important.
The listed target is 1080p at 60+ FPS on high or ultra settings. 1440p with the settings cranked up can tank performance on demanding games, so this build is better suited to 1080p.
Wifi 5, what is this 2015? Total of 3 USB ports... Maximum resolution, only 1080p... Most have a 1440p gaming monitor these days...
Theres definitely more than 3 USB ports.... Maybe 3 in the front but going to be many more in the back. Also, this doesn't include a monitor so your comment on the resolution is just uninformed clearly showing you don't know anything about all of this stuff, which then goes to your wifi5 comment, you are probably one who won't even notice the benefits or differences of WiFi 5 and 6, which in a home network for a casual piece like this, 99.9% of users would be fine with

it sucks how much everything has gone up. i purchased a skytech for my nephew, with a 7800x3d and an rx 9700 xt for $1400, after $150 coupon, less than a year ago. 32gb ram, 2tb drive (it sucks though), 850w, blahty blah blah
I get 1000 MB/s Wi-Fi speeds on my plan. Would prefer WiFi 7. Have WiFi 6 on my gaming laptop and Steam downloads get painfully slow sometimes. Wi-Fi 7 has lower latency and better reliability especially when there's so many family devices connected to my network. This shows how Skytech cheaps out on the components. Has anyone had a positive experience with this company?
Thanks for proving his point. I bought a SkyTech for my kid like 6+ years ago and it is still going strong. I did pop in a gpu off my mining rig when I retired that, but the system has been solid. I picked up one last Christmas and it has been running well since. I agree this price seems high (is what I paid out of pocket for a 9800X3D with a 5070 but also Black Friday/Christmas.

Did you buy them from Amazon? Reviewers say theirs broke just after the 1 year warranty period.

Are you really that tech illiterate?
If you actually care about throughput, wire up some ethernet like a normal person.
Otherwise, there's plenty of WiFi 7 adapters on the market in both PCIe and USB-C flavors for under $70.
Griping about the mundane features this motherboard lacks is the least of your worries when you couldn't build this for cheaper if you left off the motherboard entirely.
Price it out. The motherboard is essentially free.

Where you bought it doesn't matter if the computer works when it arrives (you should check ALL plugs before you turn a new prebuilt on no matter if you buy it from amazon, skytech, microcenter, or Jim up the street) and ideally do a benchmark or at least verify all the parts are as advertised, then it breaking in a year has nothing to do with buying it from amazon. The risk from amazon is fake parts or someone returning something after swapping out a gpu or ram. I bought mine direct from Skytech, I don't remember where I bought my son's but it may have been amazon. It is clear that you don't understand technology, and that is okay just better to not act like you do.
