Did Segway give up on the expansion batteries for this power station? They're impossible to find, and this power station isn't that interesting without them.

My memory may be faulty, but I seem to recall in a previous deal thread someone reached out to the company and was told plans for expansion batteries for this unit have been abandoned.
You may want to dig into previous threads to make sure, though.

Did some browsing around based on what you're saying. You seem to be correct. No batteries for sale virtually anywhere. The one place I did find them in stock. They wanted $599 for a 1kw battery 😬 .
But as others have pointed out. Although the specs seem like a pretty good deal for the money, this unit is sketchy and should most likely be avoided.
This Cube series is their only home power station they have and probably could be their only one, from what it looks like. Came out mid-2023 as an expandable battery system, and customer acceptance has been slow. The Cube 1000 and Cube 2000 are basically the same thing; the Cube 2000 just comes with 1 expansion module. They've also kind of stopped selling the expansion modules; it's not a shipping product. You can find them out in the supply chain still, but they basically cost the same as a Cube 2000 itself or more and make no sense to buy if you can find them available. The Cube 1000 and 2000 are now basically routinely on sale for around 1/3 of what they launched at. This segment of their business doesn't seem to be going great.

They've had 1kw delta 2 units all over ali express lately for around 250 bucks after coupon. I believe the 1kw expansion battery have been going for around $230 after coupon. So total 2kw system for a little under $500. I've had a couple of those units, and they have been rocks solid. Would go that route before buying this turd 💩
