$12 for a Milwaukee tape measure is a pretty good deal. The compact size makes it easy to keep in a tool bag, drawer, or even a pocket, while the fractional scale is a nice bonus for quick measurements.

It's not compact by any means and it's quite heavy. I've been using hyper tough tape measures from Walmart which are lighter and have been very durable so far.

I bought this last sale based on the "compact size" and found it every bit as large and heavy as my DeWalt measure that is also printed on both sides that occasionally comes in handy.

literally just came here to say its heavy, almost 2x the weight of my others.
