The coating is to prevent kids from sticking them in their mouths and swallowing these coin batteries.

I've had bad luck with no name 2032 batteries. Never buying them regardless of how cheap they are again.

This posts comments are restoring my faith in the SD community. Absolutely found my people, I will never buy cheap button batteries or 2032s ever again bc it is not worth the hassle swapping them every 2-6 months when name brands last 12months

Community Reviews

BEVIGOR 3V CR2032 batteries are positioned as a low-cost option for small devices, with a bitter coating meant to deter swallowing and plenty of reported power. They have worked for years in remote gate openers and other low-stakes gear like scales, remotes, doorbells, and AC controls. The main concern is longevity, since these can drop voltage quickly in key fobs and other hard-to-reach devices, sometimes needing replacement every few months. A practical pick for inexpensive, easy-to-swap uses.

  • The batteries include a bitter coating that helps deter kids from putting coin batteries in their mouths.

  • Long-term use reports indicate these BEVIGOR 3V 2032 batteries can run for years without issues.

  • Some users plan to use these at the $3 price point for low-stakes devices like doorbells and AC remotes.

  • The batteries can drop voltage quickly, which can cause reliability issues in car key fobs.

    madkimchiavalon

  • Recent feedback suggests these batteries may not last long, with replacements needed every 2-6 months in some use cases.

    Luigis3rdcousinmkdenar

  • The batteries may require frequent changes in AirTags or similar trackers, making them inconvenient for that use.

    AtTheLeftTherenexus15

  • Super-cheap 2032 batteries may be a poor fit for devices where monthly replacement is not feasible.

I've been using this brand of battery for at least five years.

I've had no issues what so ever with them.

I used these on my car key fob. Voltage drops quick and it will give you issues. These do not last long at all.

my experience with the super-cheap 2032 is they drop voltage FAST

do not use them in anything you cannot replace each month

Energizer owns Everready so maybe these are higher quality

and they go on sale from time to time closer to $3

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDWJBM67

S+S 15% right now shows them as $4.64 for me but I paid only $2.94 in April
S+S is 45% off for me and available. Got it for 3.78. Thanks!

I've gone through many dozens of them over the years, for my sins I'm in charge of the remote gate openers at my condo.

Many of them have lasted years, both in service and on my shelf.
