Amperage: 8 amperes
For me this would be a pass. This would take two breaker spaces in your electrical box. Anything under 12,000 BTU (1 ton) My rule of thumb would be that it can be put on a dedicated 120 volt line (also making this much easier to be run by a generator or battery backup in an emergency.)
