Yeah, I snagged this mainly because of the case that I was going to buy anyway for my Ultimate 2, essentially bringing the price to ~$23. Having a solid retro symmetrical-style controller on hand is always a good idea too! I've compared the Pro2 vs Pro3, and the Pro2 wins for me due to the replaceable battery (and the fact that this is my backup/second controller, so I don't want another dock taking up space).

As a sidenote for those with the Ultimate 2, this case only fits the controller itself, not the dock. But I would not be travelling with the dock anyway, so it's perfect. The 8bitdo case designed for the Ultimate was NOT designed for the Ultimate 2, which is apparently slightly bigger, and the buttons/sticks are pressed if you try to squeeze it (+dock) into the case. So, there isn't an official case for the U2.
