Decided to pull the trigger on Flat Rock vs the Weber Slate due to wind protection and how study it feels. Was able to price match via chat with Home Depot for additional 10% military discount.

I'm willing to spend more for better, but what makes this markedly superior to the 4 burner blackstone that sometimes goes on sale for $250 or the gussied up versions costco has for a bit more at times? This is a delta of almost double the price of those for what seems like a pretty simple implement.

Anything special you had to tell them? They told me they couldn't since Amazon had it on Sale and their price match policy does not allow it.

Quality parts for sure. You don't appreciate the difference until you see it in person. Materials just feel premium and sturdy.
