Exactly the situation I'm struggling with also. I haven't looked into the availability of battery adapters yet, but I do know that the Ridgid is 2# lighter.

For me these are all about the weight, as they are far heavier than the air tools. I bought the newest version of Metabo nailers, because they are comparably lightweight and very reliable. I got those even though the rest of my cordless tools are Makita. But I am a professional so my priorities may be different than a diy-er.
