There are two reasons why I dont like this card.
1. AAA title games at 1920x1080 max/ultra setting would use 9GB~11GB of VRAM in 2025. And this card only got 10GB, in a year or two, it will be like the 8GB VRAM cards today. FPS would drop hard when the game wants to use more than what a card can offer. And Intel replaced its CEO, the current CEO doesn't care about gaming, he only cares about server & AI. The driver support will be in a very questionable status.
2. Even the B580 12GB is a bit slow. But if you can get B580 for $250, it may still be a better option than B570 10GB at $220~$230.
Or if you can get Arc B50 16GB at $350; B50 is really a "B570 performance + extra VRAM + no need PCI-E power cable" card.
BUT!!! there is no GPU/card is at its MSRP, so if this is what you can get or what you can pay, then yeah, buy this. The other option is the used RTX 3060 12GB. The issue with used GPU is that you dont know if a person used it to mine Crypto ETH or other things and may die soon.

Not to mention, the Arc series aren't even primarily gaming cards. You'd be better off with a (not considering price) 8GB AMD or Nvidia over an Arc any day of the week in terms of performance verses worrying about 10GB here.
And what made you think this person would even be worried about the latest cutting edge AAA gaming and demanding 1440p in all ultra...demanding several years of future proofing at the same time? Their question of "is this good" suggests a very casual user. If I went to a car dealer and someone was shopping for a Honda Civic, I likely wouldn't assume they were planning to enter a Formula 1 race with it.
FWIW, all of your yardsticks are way off base, thus so are the conclusions you are drawing from them. I do agree with your assessment of Intel's likely poor support for their cards rolling forward. Again, this isn't a gaming focused card but they appear to be lowering their overall focus for their GPU lines, across all use cases.
