I just tried this blender to compare to my existing one. From price perspective, this cost more than double my old blender even if you roughly factor in some inflation cost increases for it. The only redeeming quality for me was the blender pitcher was made of plastic so it was much lighter while having 64oz capacity.

Here is the list of downsides, in terms of blending performance compared to my old blender, it was disappointing. I blend each meal for a family member using it and I could visually tell using the same speeds and time duration the food isn't as smooth. Most obvious was when my family member drank the fluid food for the first time and noticed right way it tasted more "rough" than our old blender. There was a strong "mechanical" odor coming from it when I was blending, this isn't a particular con for this one as out old blender had the same issue. The cleaning function is same as on other blenders, add some warm water and a little detergent and it blends on highest speed. As you'd expect any semi-stuck or stubborn stains on the sides of the blender pitcher won't be cleaned.

In the end we didn't think it was worth such a high price for marginal benefits while having little to slight blending performance decrease. It was promptly returned to Costco to get back for our $320+sales tax. I suppose I'll need to settle for lugging around the heavy glass blending pitcher of my old blender again for now.

It's a Joydeem cooking blender, not exactly the same as this one but close: https://www.amazon.com/Joydeem-Co...ast_sto_dp
