So, looks like 1 good, 1 bad (or more like indifferent) review for you to consider. I am sure this will make it easy for you to choose.
I had a log splitter that regardless of how I winterized it, I always had to spend a few hours every summer getting the engine running again. This product was one of those I'd use to resurrect it.
And today I added to my vocabulary yet another name for a string trimmer!

1. Drain the fuel for winter. I got a hand pump from Harbor Freight. Few dollars.
2. Use ethanol free if you can. Ethanol attract moisture. Theres a website you can find list of stations.
3. Use fresh fuel, not the ones that been sitting for months! It attract fuel.
4. Change oil, spark plug, air filter once a year.
If you got more to add/delete/not ncessary, let me know.

You also do not have to use ethanol-free gasoline. Your fuel could sit for 18 months and still be fresh.
But, yeah, change oil at least once a year. I change spark plugs and air filter depending on usage. 3 years max for me, sometimes sooner.
I do this on my tractor, push mower, and snow thrower. Starts right up every season.
