yes that works. also if you have a blink grandfathered account, this camera works with that.

also, since this question comes up a lot, this is a WIRED camera, the other ones work on AAs, but this is a hardwired camera that you need to wire to electricity

Currently have a regular flood light but it needs to replaced since hasn't been functional. Is it easy to install this blink floodlight directly to same spot or need to have electrician do it?

If you can make sure that the power is off and hook up 3 wires, very basic install.
