That's not how it works. Nintendo made it so that the console has a copy of Mario Kart World bound to its serial number. Once you connect it to the internet, the console alerts you of the free game.

It's not a code that you redeem. That's why you see returned Switch 2 consoles in pristine condition. People buy it, open it up, and see that there's no code inside, so they return it.

I know that sometimes when you buy refurbished things that the item is practically brand new if not new. Considering this includes the Mario Kart World digital game I wonder if that's the case with this console?

I got in on that deal too. This is actually a pretty good deal given how crazy expensive switch 2 games are. Mario Kart World is $80 😭. If I had both deals presented simultaneously it'd be a tough decision. I already spent another $70 on pokopia

I remember there was a jagoff who was bragging about buying these bundle deal with games, activating the code, then returning the bundle for a full refund.

Kind of hard to pull the trigger on a refurb when I see Amazon had them like new for $340 on Prime Day and just a few days ago they had a $50 off coupon on the Switch choose your game bundle.

Really hope I can get a new or like new one for $400 before the price hike. I keep missing the good deals on these.

It's roughly equivalent to the $340 deal with the game, if you value Mario Kart.

Unfortunately missed out on the $50 off too but I can live with this deal.

Just saw this and was about to post it! Honestly, great deal. I wonder if it's an Amazon resale unit. In any case the only caution is when you get it is the Mario download still available or did it previously get used. I buy from woot pretty often but I'm not sure how their customer service would handle the issue. That said, if I hadn't of already bought one, I would definitely have gone for this.

Since this includes all OEM accessories, I'd say this is most likely an unused Switch 2, and equivalent to "open box." I've bought a few refurbished items from Woot in the past couple years, in both generic packaging and original packaging. With the generics, it was hit or miss if the item had visible signs of wear, but all the original packaging/original accessories items appeared unused (in the case of a Mac computer, the tape seal was still intact and it registered as a brand new machine with full warranty)
