If you have a sync module 1 or 2 and are grandfathered these work and have free cloud storage. I'm using 2 right now on a sync 2 and they work great, FYI.

Maybe don't use an AmazonBasics USB drive. When I did that for a bit it worked great. Just a normal USB3 drive with 40+MB read and writes on USB 2.0.
