It's hard to tell from the pics if the particle board shelves have a center support underneath, but it doesn't appear so, as that makes a huge difference in sturdiness and longevity. I've had shelves like this bucking down in the center just from having cases of water for storage.

They don't have a center support, the cross beams on all 4 sides have a lip that's about an inch or so, which the shelf drops onto. The particle board is also fairly good quality not just that rough junk.
I get another one every time they're on sale. They are rock solid if you 3D print as well.
I have no problem with bottom support.
Odd how frequently the "no center supports" comments appear in these threads.
