Used to be my go to but now I prefer a full size ergonomic silent logitec for about $20. This is on sale for $10 during seasons to get you into the stores. These are durable with long battery life and great for travel bags also. At this price in for 2 more.

I find that the middle button clicks by pressing the mouse wheel is not reliable in this style mouse. This can be an issue for applications which use middle presses like CAD, Linux GUIs, games, etc

Great mice. I used to travel a lot as a consultant. This was my go to mouse. I would buy them in bulk because I was always leaving the mouse behind in conference rooms.

In 2026 though, I wish they would make a USB-C version.

Which silent for $20? I thought the only silent is the MX3S?

Yeah, There is one with big silent words on it. I just looked in storage and I got about 5 others there with the small letters silent in the description on the package front. I'm too lazy to see what model. IIRC it was also sold at walmart and for me to have that many I prolly got them on sale. iirc about $15. edit, i looked at wm website. there is one that is $26 not on sale saying in little letters description silent touch technology. It also seems to indicate either bluetooth or dongle. If I didn't have so many that's my choice if it goes on sale.

They do make one, at least a receiver that you can buy separately. There's another thread on this, but here's a direct link:

If you're thinking of the new Logi Bolt USB-C receiver, it's not compatible with this mouse.

FYI - the receiver plug isn't a unified type (means this mouse won't work with Logitech's universal wireless receiver if the included one is gone).

I found that rf is much more reliable than Bluetooth, in some multiboot situations. Basically, you need to pair at the OS-level, but switching OSes will lose connectivity. The dongle just works. I hear that some BIOS will pair with a BT mouse, but I have yet to see that. So yeah, I will trade off a port for dependability.
