Does seem to be a regular "sale" price with the other price being MSRP. Still the cheapest and best WH deal you can get. Will be interesting to see if the price goes down for black friday. If it does I suspect not much since it's already well priced and a new product.

Solid deal. Under $600 after tax and cashback ordering from ankersolix website. Inverter idle power draw under 6 watts and 96% efficient inverter means longer runtime. Several YouTube videos praise the efficiency and runtime after testing this. Very compact and lightweight for 2 KWHr. S2000 is 36 pounds compared to Ecoflow Delta 2 Max which is 50 pounds. The main drawbacks are 400 watts solar input and 1800 watts max output. S2000 is a new model and I would not be surprised if price goes up after these sales end.

Usually these are for camping, off grid and backup power. For people on expensive Time of Use (TOU) plans like California PG&E, there could be a use case here to run a window or portable air conditioner off this during peak times, then charge this with solar or off peak grid power. The savings would be small, not worth it for most people. But since this is rated for up to 10000 charge cycles (until capacity drops to 60%) and the inverter is so efficient, this could be viable for TOU power flexing to save a little money or offset some of the cost.

After a lot of debate I purchased two of these around a week or so ago. Feeding Gemini the stats and Duquesne Light's ToU prices it found that I could theoretically achieve a 3 year RoI period if I can offset the full capacity everyday for 3 years and that at the end of this period it should have around only 4% capacity degradation. This is including tax on the sale and for power losses going AC->DC->AC.
Pretty good IMO, especially when you consider Storm Guard can run in the background and override ToU planning if there's a NWS storm warning. I have one running as a fridge backup and ToU offseter. I logged the daily power draw on my fridge and it's right around 1kW a day. So for ~$600 I have a fridge backup that should last a very long time, can backup the fridge for 2 days, and is slowly paying itself off while taking up about the same room as the lunchbox next to it on top of the fridge.
The other one is running our second floor office window unit A/C as a ToU offset specifically, since it can definitely burn through 2 kW in the 6 hour peak-use period. It's been running without issue so far. In case of a storm, it'll also juice up to 100% and i have 2kW place wherever it's needed in the house. If they run out, my truck's 100ish kW battery can always top them up in an hour. Debating buying a third for the basement dehumidifier that pulls 3-4 kW a day.

Just watch the Storm Guard - when it kicks on it'll automatically go to 1600W charge; two of them in a room will trip my breakers. Pretty sure they'll sort that in a software/firmware update, however.
I got one of these on the early bird deal for the time-of-use mode. My peak electric rate is about 40% higher than off-peak, which more than makes up for the inefficiency.
You have to set up an online account to setup WiFi (as opposed to just using local Bluetooth). It only works on 2.4Ghz networks.
The TOU mode only works if the device is connected to Wifi. If the WiFi disconnects, it defaults to UPS mode and won't automatically switch to battery during the peak period. It will do this even if it's in the middle of a peak period, i.e, it'll switch back to AC input, if available, even though it knows that it's in a peak period.
The switching time seems to be fast enough for all of the electronics that I've tried, but I wouldn't use this with something that needs to shutdown gracefully when the power runs out, like a desktop computer, since there's no way for it to automatically communicate that the battery is about to run down.

Found that out the hard way when I started getting warnings of air quality and it turned on and my breakers tripped.
I'm assuming it's a simple fix in the firmware where they'll allow for an option that says 'when storm guard activates, charge at chosen rate'.
