This and Penzoil Platinum Ultra are about equal from all the independent testing I've seen done by various people. Costo synthetic is also reported to be good quality and a great deal for the price. Any upper tier synthetic oils will be pretty similar in quality and there might be a slight difference in their additive packages, there doesn't seem to be any proven significant difference in wear prevention or performance between the top tier synthetic oils that I could find so any good synthetic oil will work fine as long as it is the correct rating/viscosity for your vehicle. I started using Royal Purple in my 370Z the first 5 years then switched to Penzoil Platinum Ultra the last 5 years because it is literally half the price and haven't noticed any difference in performance, gas mileage, engine temp, wear, power, sound, etc. Both work equally great. I've used the non-ultra verison a couple times too with no noticeable difference either.
