Is the Genesis II S-310 worth returning the Spirit E-325 NG that I got for $549 from Costco? Wondering if the build quality difference justifies the return, and also noting the S-310 lacks a sear zone. Appreciate you posting this btw - thank you!
Yeah just noticed that. Personally I'd take the SS grates instead but it seems like a nice feature.
Definitely go with stainless over Weber cast iron -- their "enameled" cast iron is absolute trash. I bought no-name replacements, and they've lasted longer than the Weber ones at 1/4-1/3 of the cost.
If anyone wants a grill cover for their new Weber, I can recommend this one at Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000HCR89W?th=1. Inflation (and probably tariffs) REALLY hit these because I paid $18 5 years ago, but they last about 2-3 years. The company also honors their warranty no questions asked, so if it tears in the 3rd year (which is very likely), submit for a replacement, and they send a new one. That's why I haven't bought one in 5 years, but I'm due for a new one for the winter.
Mine stay completely exposed to morning/early afternoon sun, rain, and snow, and they have always made it over two years. I tried a Weber one years ago, and it went a little over a year before tearing, at twice the price.

The S310 deal includes a cover already.
