How much is an extra 16gb of LPDDR5 worth to you guys? I bought this with 32G for $1500, but tempted to sell/return and get this to save some $$.

What do you use the machine for, how long do you intent to keep it? For just light desktop stuff (excel, outlook, browsing the web, netflix, youtube, etc.) 16gb is limiting but you will be FINE. What sucks is that you are just to the side of "this is enough" today, but windows is bloated and 16gb could feel VERY limited even for that same workload even a year from now and your usage needs could change easily as well.

If you intend to use the laptop for any real production work or gaming than just say no. This isn't just 16gb, its 16gb SHARED with the iGPU... A laptop with a dedicated GPU would still be questionable but at least the full 16gb would be available to the OS because the graphics card would have it's own dedicated 4-12gb of ram depending on model.. In this instance you have a low amount of ram to begin with and than whatever the GPU needs has to come out of that same pool. So the second you want to game, do anything like CAD, or video edit, that 16gb of ram gets carved up and it was barely enough to start.

If the machine had an open sodimm slot this would be a GREAT way to get started, with the idea you could add that second stick and have 32 or 48 gigs of ram down the road... Soldered ram is an especially problematic issue in today's market.

No I meant $$ wise how much do you think the jump from 16gb to 32gb is worth? I run Linux and the highest demands it meats is gaming and 3d modeling / CAD work. I don't regularly check my ram usage but idle is waaaaay lower than Windows. I agree 16 GB is limiting but that is a large savings.

Honestly if I am not upgrading again for the next 3 years, I would prioritize 32GB. The pricing does not seem it will get better for the next 1&2 years anyway.
