I'll be replacing this with a bidet toilet seat in the future, but this is a good "make do" price in the mean time.

Pro-tip... buy a spare for your guest bathroom and swap the "everyday" seat for the pristine one when guests are coming over. When the guests leave, clean it and swap them back. Members of the household can use the bathroom like normal without going crazy about stains, and guests see a new seat when they visit. Takes about 2 minutes to swap them.

What on earth does your family do to toilet seats that would warrant changing them out anytime you have a guest?

Nothing crazy. The normal seat just shows a little more age than I'd want when I'm inviting guests over, but not enough to warrant trashing and replacing it every time I invite guests over.
