The irony of a company that created a game that started with a woman being saved from SA suddenly being ok with hiring someone who committed SA and turning against the fans reacting to it. RGG has lost so much of the plot.
All this for half-baked rewrites that don't do the original game justice.
The feeling of relating to the kids and being Daddy Kiryu is gone replaced with a horrible set of mini-games just for mediocre substory plots instead of it being a core part of the game.
They got rid of the very terrible hostess maker. What do they do? Did they put in a version of the beloved Cabaret Club Czar that was right there waiting to replace it? No... of course not. They replaced it with yet another battle royal mini game that is decent at best.
The recuts that they did to replace the cutscenes lack the depth they had in the original, such as when Kiryu confronts Rikiya in front of the convenient store. It doesn't help that it has far less voice acted scenes, including that one.
Because of all the cuts in the beginning, there are jarring time skips by days at a time that just don't make sense narratively.
Way too much collection activities. The famous locker keys are back in both cities. It doesn't stop there. They included a stupid mystery box game, friend collecting game similar to Infinite Wealth, never mind all the collecting you have to do for the orphanage substory. I spend so much time collecting stuff, I lose track of the story.
And the worst part is you can't even buy the original anymore without buying a huge collection of games, even if you already own some of them. Killing the original is not the right way. Shame on you, RGG/Sega, whoever came up with this greedy idea.

I haven't even finished it yet, and I'm bored.
