Yes. You have to save the gift card information under Payments in your account first, and then at the prescription counter input your phone number before they scan the image of the bar code of the gift card you saved on your phone (i.e., not through the App).

Last time I tried to apply a gift card to my online WG order it ignored the giftcard and charged my Paypal the full amount instead of the amount after the giftcard. Not happy about that. Probably will return half the order to recoup my money,

That person's mistaken. No need to do all that. I have screenshot of gift card in phone. Once time to pay, show the barcode and they scan and you're done. No different than paying with mobile wallet.
