No, it wasn't. The lowest this was, was $1730 last year and that too with half the storage: https://slickdeals.net/search?q=ASUS+ROG+G700&searcharea=deals&searchin=first&isUserSearch=1&searchtype=normal&filters%5Bforum%5D%5B%5D=0&sort=recent&filters%5Brating%5D%5B%5D=all&filters%5Bdate%5D%5B%5D=1095&page=1
This is the lowest price for this configuration and yes, it is a great deal considering the condition of the PC world right now.

It sucks not having a Micro Center near me. Grats to those that do.

I believe this config was going for ~1600 during BF last year, which was pre ramageddon so this is a great price if you need it soon.

$1800 is a great price for this rig. Not sure which PSU is used, but either way a good deal!

I would pick this one up right now if the Ryzen 1700 rig I built in 2017 wasn't working great! 🤔

I have to drive three hours to get to one, but I have done so for a really good deal.

If you undervolt and push a ton of power through the 9070xt it can kinda get within spitting distance of the 5080 in rasterized performance.

Ultimately the 5080 is the stronger card, by every metric. But I got my 9070xt last month for $630, and the cheapest 5080s out there are nearly twice the price. I can't even justify paying >$800 for a 5700ti for my own use case.

If I were in the market for the best bang/buck prebuilt out there in the current market, this would be it.

20-30 percent faster without Up scaling.

this imo is better by a long shot unless you really need a Geforce 5080 and want to pay that steep premium for it. To be honest this ASUS ROG G700 PC: Ryzen 7 9800X3D deal is only like about $100 more than what it would have cost to build around 12 months ago, so this is actually a very very very good deal considering the current memory/ssd situation.
