I'm not sure if the drivers ever fixed the battery issue, but early tests had a <6 hour battery life with light web surfing and medium brightness. And it's essentially unmaintainable with everything encased and a glued-on front panel. And if you break one now, you're probably never finding a replacement screen.
That's not to say it might not have its niche uses, but I wouldn't spend much on one.
If you install Linux there will be some loss of features, such as screen brightness adjustment and poor volume control.
With all that aside, it is a decent amount of power in a small form factor, just be prepared for no support, no parts/accessories even a replacement screen protector will be a challenge to source, poor battery life, and if the display flickers be prepared to use it with an external monitor.
