Don't buy this piece of shit!
I have 3 of these in two sizes. They all have starting issues, the fan will just not start sometimes, you have toggle the power or push the fan or both sometimes
Got the larger one last year. Looks great in a two-story room with a long Rod. Definitely moves a lot of air. Remote works great and it even works well with Bond.
I installed 4 Hunter fans recently, and the only one with any issues is the DC motor one I chose for my office. The fan always turns on when I flick the switch, even if the fan was off when I cut the power. They did send a full replacement, but reinstalling is a pain. The AC motor versions work great - might be less efficient, but I don't really notice a noise difference. Whatever motor noise is present is usually drowned out by the fan blades.
To my knowledge, DC motor fans do not work with traditional fan wiring - i.e. don't expect to connect this to a switch with fan and light control. This was a bummer because I have the fan wiring strongly prefer not to use a remote.
And, in addition to not being replaceable, the single point source LED light looks terrible IMO. I would not buy a fan without a dimmable 3-4 bulb arrangement. For me, I'll be sticking with the traditional AC models.

Yup, I had similar issues with my 72" version. The fan was inconsistent, and usually didn't turn on. I finally returned it just yesterday after 2 years (thank goodness for Costco's generous return policy)
