There are 2 versions of Kirkland v3.0 balls. All the balls being sold at Costco now are the "new" version (sometimes referred online as v3.5 ball). If you are buying from a 3rd party site, make sure you are buying the new ball.
If you look at the attached pics, the ball with the hollow arrow is the new version. The ball with the double arrow is the old version. Unfortunately, they are both marketed as Kirkland v3.0. Here's a link to help you out:

According to reviews out there, the new ball spins a lot less. Personally, my drives "balloon" a lot less. The new ball may help hookers and slicers with less exaggerated hooks and slices (YMMV). If you see a review complaining about the spin, they are probably reviewing the old ball.
