Peak Design Leash is a slim, quick release camera strap that stands out for easy length adjustment, fast removal, and durable everyday use. It is described as functional, long lasting, and a strong OEM alternative, with warranty support available when parts wear out. The main tradeoff is comfort, since there is no padding and the thin design may not suit heavier cameras or larger lenses. It feels like a premium strap that works best when low bulk matters most.

This is probably the best camera strap I own. Highly recommend this to anyone looking into an OEM alternative.

Very good deal but recommend going with the Slide or Slide Lite if you have a larger lens/heavier camera.

These straps will last like 2 lifetimes.
You will only need to replace these straps if you get bored with them or if you lose them.

Depends on the model, I have the Peak Design Lite strap and the rubber grip along the strap is flaking/melting off and has ruined a number of my dress shirts with black tar like substance. I have to remember to flip it around on the non grip side. It's really a hassle and definitely something that hasn't lasted even more than a few years.

They don't. The anchors wear out and need replacing.

Guys, you can get the same strap and quick-release (identical to PD) from aliexpress for <$5.

Just search Camera Strap Quick Release.

Wrist Strap: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...5265.html?

Neck Strap: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...5259.html?

And if you're paranoid about the quality of the quick release (since it is the weakest points in holding a camera), you can get the strap for the hooks then buy PD's official quick release for $15.

$30+ for a camera strap is a scam.

I got one of these for my wife to replace the strap she always hated on her favorite purse. I love that it's super easy to adjust the length for when I need to carry it, and it's easy to remove the clip to slide off without lifting it over your head if you're stuck in a weird position that locks it in place (eg, you put a jacket or backpack on overtop of it). Seems like a lot of money for a strap, but she's probably been using it for a decade now and it looks as good as the day we got it.

I've had success returning an old one to Peak Design for the same reason. There was no charge for a replacement. You may want to submit a warranty claim.

Ordered mine last night as I check BH specials every evening. Peak's a solid company but is priced premium. I only have the OEM camera strap which has been pretty uncomfortable so I'm giving this one a shot.

Yes thank you, posting in this thread made me look into it, hopefully they can stand by their warranty.

Not sure this would be one that I'd get for comfort. A softer neoprene style would be a lot more comfortable if the look of this is any indication.
