We ordered this during the last switch 2 woot deal and it arrived in horrible condition. The shipping box had been opened and retaped, the system was dirty, and the switch 2 box was dented heavily. Suffice it to say we returned it. Woot is pretty terrible with electronics.

I don't see how it's a fp deal when recently that pick a game bundle was only like $27 more than this. it would have to be down at the $399 for everyone to be a decent deal and even then that is too much for a switch 2. I have a bunch of best buy gcs so I have to hope maybe black friday the console with mario kart will be $399.

I agree that $399 would be a great BF deal, however, I personally don't think it's likely considering the times we are currently living in (RAMpocalypse), where almost 6 years into a console generation, we have seen competitors increase their prices by 30% (Sony) and 60% (Microsoft). Speaking of which, Nintendo has already announced an MSRP increase to $499.99 effective September 1, 2026. All things considered, this deal is decent, especially if you're a new customer and can get the $50 discount, effectively bringing it $399.

Community Reviews

This is a new Switch 2 listing, and the main appeal is getting the console below the usual price, especially if the new customer code drops it to about $399 after tax. The thread also notes that Switch 2 games can be digital, game key cards, or traditional physical cards, so resale is still possible on some titles. The biggest cautions are shipping and condition concerns, with reports of smashed boxes, opened or retaped packaging, and units that looked returned or dirty. New Hampshire shipping is blocked, so the deal is less straightforward for some buyers.

  • The deal can land around $399 for new customers when the $50 discount applies and taxes are accounted for.

  • A Sams Club membership path can reduce effective console cost by buying discounted eShop cards and applying them toward the Switch purchase.

    tommy7154

  • Switch 2 games may be available as game key cards that look like physical cards but download the game via a key.

    slthytove

  • Some shoppers report being able to obtain Switch 2 games in either physical or digital formats.

    ShushiiT

  • Woot shipments have reportedly arrived with opened or retaped boxes, dirty systems, and heavily dented console packaging.

    xvx

  • Woot listings marked "new" have reportedly arrived looking returned or like display units.

    gte636i

  • The listing cannot be shipped to New Hampshire, which can block purchase for affected buyers.

    9594

  • At least one Switch 2 game experience reportedly runs poorly, with barely around 30 FPS and slowdowns during zombie fight scenes.

Ditto. The switch 2 box was really smashed up. Kind of wild

Sounds like it was the refurbished deal. This one is new.
It was a new item. It was the "cheapswitch2" deal they had a few weeks ago.

I've bought several things marked new in the past from them. Several came looking like they were returned or display units.

What is the code for $50 off for new customers? And does that mean you can get 50 off AND use this code, or just $50 - $6 for shipping = $44 off all together?

Edit: I guess you mean the code GIFT26 takes $50 off if you're a new customer? Trying it and it still comes out to $433 for me after tax. Bleh.

I think it's starting the 24th if you have a Sams Club membership you can get 20% off eshop cards which means you can buy those then use them to get a Switch for $400 total from the eshop. So if you already have that membership, that's going to be a better deal. Plus we'll have Splatoon Raiders reviews out by then.
Where did you hear about 20% eshop cards at Sam's? Worth waiting for

I just spent $500 on the game bundle at Best Buy yesterday 😑
You got a $70-$80 game so I think you're fine. It's about the same.
