For me the connection sucks with Xfinity. There is a bottleneck and I even turned of the Xfinity modem signal. I'm out of options.

Have you tried hard wiring for backhaul? If you have coax, you can use moca for this. It helped me turn a bunch of crappy Google routers into a serviceable mesh.

Don't buy TP link, they've been investigated and accused of having backdoors and other vulnerabilities. Often hear they are going to be banned from selling in the US.

One of many articles - you can Google tons.

I don't know if you read it but your linked article literally says they don't see a reason to ban them. There's no evidence there is backdoor. What it does acknowledge is it has vulnerabilities like any other routerBtw there is no government that can't monitor you. Go google the CIA leaks, we absolutely know both China and U.S. monitor, that's more or less public knowledge at this point

I bought this at Costco on sale a few months ago. I had so many issues installing because it won't connect right out of the box. Then when you swipe to close the tp link app, it deletes the whole mesh network. I had to recreate it three more times then I decided to just return it to buy Google mesh network. I also had a power outage during a thunderstorm and it also deleted the network when it crashed.

I definitely don't recommend.

My 2 pack picked up every single device in my house the first time. ioT works great for the 2.4 devices.
Upgraded my modem to the latest and Comcast gives 1,200 down and 43 up.

I have last years model and no issues.
I am looking at this newer one to upgrade.
I will buy from Costco though, because of their great return policy and Mass tax free weekend coming up..

How does this compare to the $400 be13000 set at Costco. Seems upgraded compared to this one be10000. After tax via amazon, it brings the cost difference to near $50 for me.
