Community Reviews
Popeyes is drawing attention as a cheap way to get 12 wings or tenders, with the tenders standing out as the better value and the spicy or blackened options getting the most praise. The chicken is described as thick and flavorful, and the gravy with mashed potatoes is a favorite dip. The main knocks are size and availability, since the wings can be tiny, bone in stock runs out, and the offer can disappear or change by location. A solid fast food chicken deal when the deal is live and the portion fits your appetite.
Common Questions (5)
The tenders are the stronger value in this promo, especially if you want more food for the price. Blackened tenders are also called out as having no fillers and tasting very good, while spicy tenders pair well with mashed potatoes and gravy.
No, availability can vary by location and time of day. The offer can disappear after lunch or in the evening when a store sells out, then return the next day; some apps also show $12 until checkout, where the price changes to $16.99.
They can be very small for the price, with 12 wings described as only enough for one person and boneless pieces called tiny at about $1 each. The pieces are thick, though, so the size issue is more about length than overall heft.
The wings are often considered a weaker value because they can be much smaller than Wingstop or BWW wings. Comparable chains also run frequent promos, including BOGO Tuesdays at BWW and Wingstop deals around $1 per wing.
The current tenders may be phased out as Popeyes rolls out new nationwide tenders with a larger size and different breading. The new version may also drop spicy as a standard option and shift toward sauces and dry rubs like the wings.
