Hmm... never heard of them before. Doesnt look like any Walmarts in the KC area sells any of the single packs. I'll give them a try.

Same, but it is a clearance, so if it's good you'll have to find another source. It's just lemon pie filling. Lemon pie filling is pretty versatile for a lot of Summertime desserts, so I'm in.

this is a brand I saw in NYC forever. It is good. My mom bought it and I am 73, so it has been around and successful for a long time.

That's what I figured, they were a regional brand. It's like Nehi soda pop. Cant hardly find it anywhere around KC, but down south, it's everywhere.

Just FYI, you don't just add water. The instructions for making pie filling or "pudding" are to add 1/2" cup sugar and 2 egg yolks, along with the 2 cups of water needed. I tried it without adding sugar and egg yolks and it's OK, but it isn't going to win any prizes as a lemon pie filling.

It didn't taste very good warm, so I let it chill overnight. That made it taste better, but the texture was off without the added sugar and egg yolks, it was almost "jello", pretty firm. It probably is good if made as instructed, I don't know about adding more sugar though, it was sweet enough to me, but that probably improves the texture as well.

I remember this brand from my childhood in SoCal. I am 70 plus. However, I don't need any pudding/pie filling now.
