It cheap and reliable. The aftermarket toner is also inexpensive.

My son and I have had poor experiences with aftermarket toners with our Canon lasers. If you can share a link to one that has proven effective for you, then please

If anyone could share, a link to their experience with duplex, scanning and printing laser, that'd be great 👍wifey demands both 🙄

Got a Brother laser printer that doesn't connect to wifi anymore. How does the Canon compare? I need to send things to print remotely on the road so need a replacement.

I have a 10+yr old brother that uses TN450 toner. I have gone throuh at least 10 carts over the years and a few drums. All the cheapest genaric Amerzon had. No problems. Now days they have been putting chips in the carts, but from what I read generics still work fine.

I am tempted to get this for the adf. Any one know if the ADF is duplex?

Love these. Had a MF 220 series (with fax) that I accidentally killed myself (water) and have had a 260 series for a few years now. Light duty but flawless. They eat any recycled paper no problem. Note that there are nuances with the scanners, some models can only scan simplex through the automated feeder while others can do automatic duplex scanning. Duplex scanning and printing are two different things. Also I believe the feeder scanner is only black and white while from the glass is color or so. Again, depends on the exact model, last number higher usually meaning more capable and more features, e.g. 273 vs 275 vs 277 or 279. Check first what you really need and which model that would be. For scanning, they are no replacement for a Fujitsu ScanSnap, but good enough more many use cases. Super quiet in quiet mode and silent in standby with 1w power. wakes up with a slight delay then for network printing. Tried many 3rd party cartridges but the best print this comes out of the original canon. Get the XL cartridge for slightly better economics. We don't print that much any longer so I stick with the OEM as when I print I want it clean.

I bought the 247 model 7 years ago for my classroom and it's been great. I always used generic without problems, but I generally wasn't concerned with it either.

We just picked this one up for Mom on last month's sale, and I set it up last week. Pretty much the same printer as I've been using.

Works great. It's fast to print (faster than my older one). Mom does not print much, so I'll probably just get Canon's toner when she uses up this one.

Plugged in an ethernet cable (not included) to her router and it was ready to go! Prints fine from her iPad and iPad (and worked great from my Mac), we didn't install any drivers or anything.

She'll just use it as a printer and copier, not a scanner (unless someone knows how to use if from scanning from an iPad?.) After googling, it looks like the Canon print app for iOS will let her scan too, not sure if she'll ever use it, but nice to know.

Problem with these image class mfxxxdw printers are that with any windows os updates, the driver/app becomes useless and has connection issues especially re wireless functions. Takes them a while to update, and even when they do these printers become useless. I've wasted countless of hours to figure out and talk with their service overseas tech rep.

I love how cheap the toners are, but that issue with connection and using the printer is a deal breaker.

strange - unavailable here for several days - you'd think any state in the continent could get it if it's showing stock there - wonder if it's a site glitch
