So here is a tip about. Chain saws. I own an echo and had to replace the chain. I went to a mower shop where landscapers go far parts and service. It turns out that the factory chain that comes with the saw is designed to be safe and prevent kick backs. It is also designed to cut various type of wood. The manufacturer stock is designed to not have much bite, for a better lack of words. The chain from the commercial store is different. Cuts faster and lasts longer. It has more bite. The downside of the commercial chains is that The kind of wood you're cutting matters because it could bog down your wimpy non commercial chain saw.
