I also have a unit and more or less the conclusion is similar: for $100, it is great. Built quality is great, how fast and reliably it connects to my Garmin Edge is flawless, charging port is better than the 2-pin magnetic connector that is almost universal between Magene and Xcadey etc spider PMs, battery life is great.
The issue is that the power readings have a tendency to drift a bit after hard efforts.
I do not know if this is a Firnware fix away and when this is happening, but it is persistent. It is a few % off, it is not unusable, but worse than my Favero pedals or 4iiii single sided crank PMs.
Still, training or racing even with a PM is a huge improvement, even with less than perfect results...the price point is impressive and I would recommend this even of it is not ready to "destroy" the market of $300 left side crank PMs or $600 pedals...
Just pay attention that it says that it is not compatible with a modern Shimano road chainrings. Yet video shows switching 105 just fine. I'm very confused

Yeah I'm gonna stay in "wait and see" mode on this. It is nice to see prices on power meters coming down though- I'll have to keep an eye out for one with good reviews I can take a flyer on.

I have purchased and successfully installed it. I didn't see any note stating it is incompatible with Shimano road chainrings.

Independent testing (multiple units, indoor + outdoor, against trusted baselines) found it does not meet its claimed ±1% accuracy:
Acceptable performance at low/steady power (around or below ~200–300 W).
Nonlinear offset and significant errors above ~300 W.
Residual torque issues after hard efforts/sprints: Power readings inflate and drift (sometimes substantially) until a manual zero is performed. This was reproducible across units and persisted after the latest firmware (as of April 2026 testing).
Cadence reporting can cut out around ~155 RPM (below the claimed 240 RPM).
Left/right balance and other metrics can become erratic post-sprint.
Manufacturer (ThinkRider) has acknowledged the residual torque/accuracy problems and indicated plans to address them in future products (not fixed on current hardware/firmware at the time of testing).
GPLama's conclusion: Not reliable enough for serious training or situations requiring consistent data, even at the low price.

Tom Bowers Cycling (months of real training + a long UCI gravel race): Very close to Favero Assioma pedals (<1% difference) for steady-state, Zone 2, and climb pacing. No meaningful drift over long rides. Sprint accuracy still showed issues (drift at high/maximal efforts). Verdict: Excellent value for most cyclists who primarily need data for endurance/steady efforts rather than track-style sprinting.
Polish/European testers (e.g., comparisons vs. Wahoo Kickr): Small, repeatable differences; dual-sided measurement highlighted as a big plus (especially for riders with uneven L/R balance). Good enough for training for the majority of users despite not hitting pro-level precision at high watts.
