Strategy:
If you do decide to buy it, consider adding a 3-year or 4-year protection plan at checkout. You will likely get your money back (not a new unit) dropping your cost to $34 for 3 years or $45 for 4 if it fails in the plan window.

Midea is the world's largest manufacturer of HVAC equipment and home appliances, with more than a few US offices, so there is that.
All that being so, nearly all dehumidifiers made today are disposable and designed to last 3-5 years if used conservatively. They do not have servicing ports, so if they develop a refrigerant leak, as they often do, they are done.
