I got the coupon. $251 before tax. Historic low according to the dromedaries. Pretty good deal if you're using 15g finish nails, I'm highly tempted but beyond my current project I doubt I'll be using anything but my metabo 18g cordless brad nailer.

I'll be honest, there are better ways to invest in cordless nailers than at this price. Maybe 5-10 years ago when these models were still far more niche and fewer brands were manufacturing them compared to the traditional pneumatic or cordless, combustion gas nailers (like Paslode), this could have been a deal. Nowadays, I would be surprised if these aren't a regular price. I've had a Bostitch cordless nailer and the rest of my cordless Metabo HPT nailers for years now. I love them but I also got extremely good deals on them because I was in the right places at the right times. The Bostitch nailer is a beast and three DeWalt nailers are essentially the same tools. I do like the convenience of my Metabo HPT nailers but would be lying if I said I hadn't had some performance and maintenance issues with them over the years. I was able to get some of these nailers for my brother's as well and one of them actually ended up tossing one of his after it broke and no longer fired. Mine are still going strong but they do require regular cleaning and maintenance to avoid misfires and jams (which should be common sense but some people don't understand that just because it is battery powered doesn't mean it can be abused like many other power tools).
